Jazz, what else, if not an intertwining of music and life?
Imagine, perhaps to the tune of Round Midnight, entering one of the most iconic and suggestive places in the city: Palazzo Mezzanotte, the headquarters of the Stock Exchange. Here, in the former Sala delle Grida, where trading once took place, you’ll experience a very different atmosphere: one of refined spaces, soft lighting, and quiet conversations accompanied by a good drink.
In this unique and captivating setting, the “Midnight Jazz Festival” will kick off in 2014. This festival, part of the “VerdeEstate a Milano” series (a collection of events and shows supported by the Municipality of Milan to enliven the city and entertain the public), offers something truly special: not only for its undeniably intriguing location but also for the quality of the musical performances and services for jazz music lovers.
On July 31 at 9:30 PM, the BJG Roots Music will perform.
Founded by Alberto Contri, BJG Roots Music quickly achieved its goal of introducing the roots of rock and pop, especially to younger audiences. This was done by combining Bluegrass, Jazz, and Gospel styles with a stable “all-star” ensemble featuring musicians who regularly perform with well-known artists such as Patruno, De Gregori, and Zucchero, as well as bands dedicated to jazz and blues.
BJG Roots Music successfully brought the “origins” back to life with an engaging and joyful approach.
The concert will take place in the parterre of Palazzo Mezzanotte, the former “Sala delle Grida,” where trading used to take place.
Free admission until seats are filled.
