The Festival del Cinema Nuovo is a short film review/competition featuring films created by and with people with disabilities from Centers for the handicapped, extending beyond the national territory. The festival’s spirit emphasizes that the “stories” are the result of continuous, engaging, and deeply rooted activities within the Centers and Communities hosting the disabled.
The 10th edition of the festival, which will take place from October 19 to 22, will kick off with a preview event, “Cinema e Terapia” (Cinema and Therapy), on Thursday, October 12 at 5:00 PM. During this event, the theme of cinema’s role in the therapeutic process for overcoming disabilities will be discussed.

This meeting will be held at the Fondazione Cineteca Italiana, Viale Fulvio Testi 121, Milan. The event is free to attend, but prior reservation is required.
The short film screening and awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 22 at the Teatro Argenzia, Gorgonzola, from 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
