From June 5 to June 7, Novara will host the eighth edition of the FRU (Festival of University Radios): a meeting and exchange event for hundreds of students from over 20 university radios across Italy.
“Today, FM radios no longer experiment,” said Sergio Ferrentino, author and radio host. “University radios hold the only decisive element for the development of Italian radio: experimentation.”
The central theme of the FRU has always been the growth of college radio culture, through peer exchange and interaction with industry experts. It also aims to be a space for education for students in a world increasingly dominated by communication in all its forms.
That’s why the festival includes live streaming, professional workshops, and thematic conferences related to the world of communication, featuring esteemed guests such as teachers, industry professionals, and radio operators. The event is enriched with musical events and contests for participants.
