Urban Center Milano
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, 11/12, 20121 Milan

The first workshop of the project “Mediation of Environmental Conflicts,” an initiative for the protection of landscapes through the promotion of alternative dispute resolutions related to the environment. This is an opportunity for presentation, information, and discussion.

The project aims to promote social well-being, environmental and landscape protection, and the dissemination of alternative dispute resolution tools for environmental issues, favoring concrete and shared solutions that are more aligned with the protection goals indicated by sector regulations (such as restoring the state of the places rather than compensating for damages).

The project focuses on the real needs of the involved parties, promoting more democratic approaches that foster dialogue and confrontation. It also includes training new professionals in the Green Economy.

The experimentation of applying mediation to environmental conflicts will be preceded by a research phase, conducted through a debate between experts in the field and stakeholders. Afterward, a widespread replication of the experiment will be initiated, along with the training of operators.
