On the occasion of World Water Day 2016, the University of Milan – Bicocca and MM SpA are organizing a meeting to address topics related to public water in Milan: history, management, research, and future investments. During the conference, the “Bicocca Sostenibile” project will be presented, and water bottles will be distributed for use with the water dispensers installed on campus.
Pubblicità Progresso will be present with an intervention by President Alberto Contri on social communication regarding the issue of water.
A photographic competition on the theme of “water as a resource” will also be launched for the occasion.
The event is part of a larger series of activities promoted by MM SpA, which manages the Integrated Water Service of the City of Milan. These initiatives, aimed at promoting the proper management of such a precious resource, also involve the Polytechnic University of Milan, where a second conference will be held titled “Good or Bad Water? Today’s Challenges and Future Perspectives.”
In the evening, there will be moments dedicated to showcasing the pumping stations with the performance of the video and performing art “Blue Tube,” which will take place at the historic pumping station on Via Anfossi (7:00 PM, 8:30 PM, 9:45 PM).
