Music competition “Punto su di te”
The musical piece Punto su di te was conceived as a song of mutual trust, sung by two voices: he trusts her because he realizes that without her perspective, his own view is limited; she trusts him for the same reason. Together, they commit to collaborating to find the right balance in embracing gender differences, which should not be flattened but valued.
Punto su di te is a call one partner extends to the other, aiming to build the foundations for a harmonious coexistence between the two genders, based on an awareness of their respective qualities and mutual respect. The song could tell a modern love story, depicting the life of a young couple balancing work and family, among other themes. The resulting piece should feature a catchy chorus, suitable for performance by two groups of singers (one male, one female), in a style similar to “We Are the World.”
To accommodate the authors’ needs, the competition’s technical committee has extended the deadline to March 31, 2013.
