This volume of the Comunicazione Sociale series is dedicated to the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda, a challenge that involves us all in building a more sustainable future. This year, our Foundation has focused on sustainability, continuing the conversation started in 2016 with the #ciriesco campaign (www.ciriesco.it), which continues into this year. For this reason, we decided to dedicate the On the Move contest, aimed at university students and now in its 11th edition, to sustainability. Furthermore, we are organizing the second edition of the Festival della Comunicazione Sociale – titled “On the Road to Sustainability” – which will conclude in Milan on November 28. We couldn’t, therefore, avoid dedicating this new volume to an in-depth discussion of the 17 goals.. In the first part of the volume, we asked the Spokesperson for the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development, Enrico Giovannini, to introduce the topic, while in the second part, we collected contributions from the Athena network, a network of university professors from various Italian universities created by Pubblicità Progresso in 2011. We know that the coming years will be crucial: from the climate change alarm to the need to find swift solutions to the complex issues raised by the 2030 Agenda. n this phase of great transformation, focused on finding a more sustainable economic and social model, we believe that communication can play a key role. t is vital to raise awareness and, above all, to actively involve all social actors: from individual citizens to businesses, from Third Sector organizations to institutions. Happy reading!
