Arnoldo Foà per Pubblicità Progresso

The great Arnoldo Foà passed away yesterday in Rome at the age of 98. The actor from Ferrara, with his unmistakable voice, as is well known, made a piece of the history of Italian television, theater, and cinema, but not everyone knows or will remember that in 1974 he also made an important contribution to the activity carried out by Pubblicità Progresso.

his video, representative of the many social advertising campaigns promoted since 1971 by what has over time become a foundation, deals with the cleanliness of urban centers. To promote prevention work by citizens and responsible institutions, in the face of the widespread neglect of urban cleaning activities, spurred by the cholera epidemic that developed in southern Italy in the summer and autumn of 1973, Foà was called upon to make the community responsible, and another great personality of Italian entertainment did the same: Gino Bramieri.
