On Monday, December 4, in the splendid setting of the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, Acqua Group was awarded the Unicom Special Prize – Unione Nazionale Imprese di Comunicazione – “L’Italia che comunica con la TV 2017” for the commercial “CiRiesco Squad”, produced by the production company Gothacom for the Pubblicità Progresso Foundation.

Following the institutional tone of the “CiRiesco” campaign, aimed at promoting and spreading a culture of virtuous behavior to renew and strengthen the values of sustainability, solidarity, and sobriety, the “CiRiesco Squad” campaign adopted a language designed to also be inclusive of a younger target audience.

This is how the “CiRiesco Squad” was created: an original and hilarious action team made up of four characters who embody the campaign’s values. A rapid-response group that materializes whenever incorrect behaviors occur. The decision to create characters with clearly defined individual personalities serves the purpose of delivering communication that is accessible to everyone, allowing audiences to identify with one character or another. Each protagonist has simple yet immediately recognizable traits: the leader, inventor and mastermind of the group, Doc SaveNature; the “beauty” of the team, with distinctly feminine traits, Janet Green; the sporty, energetic and super-active Angy Energy; and finally, the handsome and strong member who represents the team’s physical side, Jay Re-cycle.
