The major floods of 1966 become an opportunity for a reflection that is ever more relevant today on prevention, emergency, and resilience. The event will remember the flood and the “Angels of Mud” from 50 years ago while projecting them into the future, discussing resilient communication: the glue that binds and unites systems of relationships, territories, environment, and culture.
The event will focus on resilient relational systems with aware participants who pursue goals of trust, commitment, satisfaction, and mutuality, inspired by responsible and sustainable behaviors. There will be a discussion about resilient territories in relation to prevention, protection, and the safeguarding and enhancement of their environmental and cultural heritage.
The event will also introduce Angeli 4.0, young resilient volunteers who are creators and global spreaders of ‘living memory,’ with hubs in Florence and Tuscany and a network worldwide. Memoria Viva will evolve into a real and virtual multilingual, participatory museum, a community of communities, viral and inclusive, aimed at developing cultures of sustainability.
Environmental and cultural sustainability, anchored in the keyword solidarity, will be key areas of investigation among territories, associations, and businesses to share paths and face the future. Major partners include media outlets, knowledge networks, universities, archives, associations, and foundations. A decisive role will be played by businesses and communicators, particularly those closest to innovation and social communication.
